How much does a new fence cost in West Sussex?+
We price every fence after seeing the line — either in person or from clear photos with measurements. Free quote, same or next day. Final cost depends on height, panel spec, posts, gravel boards, ground conditions and any gate or stripout work.
How long does a fence installation take?+
A standard 20–30m garden boundary is usually a 2–3 day job from strip-out to handover. Larger perimeters with gates and corner posts take 4–6 days.
Can you fit a fence in winter?+
Yes. We install year-round; only sustained heavy frost stops us digging post holes, and we'll reschedule rather than rush a bad footing.
Do you remove the old fence?+
Yes — strip-out, breakout of old concrete footings and licensed waste disposal are all included in the written quote.
Whose side does the "good side" face?+
Convention in the UK is that the smooth side faces your neighbour, but there's no legal requirement. We'll confirm your preference at the survey.
How long will the fence last?+
A concrete-posted closeboard fence with pressure-treated timber, gravel boards and a regular stain should comfortably last 15–20 years.
Are you insured for fencing work in West Sussex?+
Yes — £5m public liability and £5m employers' liability insurance. We'll happily share the certificate before you sign. Every job comes with a 12-month workmanship guarantee. If something's down to our work, we'll come back and put it right. What it can't cover is the stuff outside our control once we've packed up and gone (like a slab getting chipped by a dropped plant pot). If it's our workmanship, it's covered.
Do you give written quotes for fencing?+
Yes. We price every fencing job after seeing it — either an in-person visit or photos with accurate measurements. Quotes are free and back to you the same or next day. We don't publish fixed prices online because every job is different.
How do I pay?+
Cash or bank transfer. A small booking fee (around £50) holds your spot in the diary. A 50% deposit is due about a week before we start, with the remaining 50% on completion. No large upfront deposit.
Are you open at weekends?+
Yes — we're open 7 days a week and respond same day, whichever day you call.
How quickly can you start a fencing project?+
Fencing work is typically scheduled within a few weeks of accepting the quote, sometimes sooner for smaller jobs. We work year-round.
Do you work outside Littlehampton?+
Yes — we regularly work in Worthing, Angmering, Chichester, Lancing, Rustington, East Preston, Brighton and the wider West Sussex. Postcode confirms eligibility in seconds on the phone.
